SMUT Soiree in Toronto

SMUT Soiree in Toronto

White Bow has been producing the SMUT Soiree in Toronto for three years now and this year was no exception. This year’s event was bigger and better than in any year past, with over 800 (!) guests attending at the eco-friendly Evergreen Brick Works, one of our favourite venues in Toronto. Guests travelled all the way from Thunder Bay, Ottawa, Montreal, and London to the sold-out show hosted by Lainey Gossip and co-hosted by Dan Levy. With summer well on its way and the weather a perfect balmy breeze, the night was the perfect combination of glitz, high energy & sweet summer music.

Smuthounds primped and coiffed at the John Frieda® Frizz-Ease®Style Hair Lounge where a fleet of their top stylists were on hand to provide hair touch-ups, upside-down braids, and tips & tricks to get Hollywood red-carpet ready. The evening’s beauty station was full, with star treatment available from Stila Cosmetics with makeup touch-ups, lash applications by Ardell Lashes, and manicures by imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails. Waxon Waxbar technicians were also on hand offering complimentary eyebrow waxes and threading rounding out guests leaving with a flawless look.

With all in place, guests competed for the SMUT Style Award presented by H&M, one of Canada’s savvy street-style trailblazers, along with FLARE, Canada’s fashion magazine.  The lucky winner walked away with a shopping spree from H&M, and a private styling consultation with uber-chic Dan Levy and a FLARE‘s fashion editors.

PUMA was on hand to keep things fashion-forward with their Fall/Winter 2012 Black Label Footwear Collection, were we were the first to check out the new collection by Alexander McQueen and Hussein Chalayan.

YellowKorner provided an artist-flair to the event with a gorgeous pop-up gallery. This Parisian democratic art gallery is coming to Canada and their team of art consultants helped identify which A-lister’s style most accurately reflected their tastes.

The beverages were as always flowing courtesy of  Jacob’s Creek™ Moscato, Kronenbourg Blanc, Somersby and Bacardi who served the most delicious classic & Strawberry SMUT Mojitos. Bacardi also offered up 2 tickets to the sold-out Florence & The Machine Show in Toronto.

And of course, the stars of the show, Levy and Lainey lead the pop culture panel discussion with some great celebrity dish and dirty laundry well into the night, only to stop after a Q & A and a photo opp with their fans. Guests walked away happy with a gift bag full of goodies, and a promise to return next year. And now back to the drawing board for White Bow on how we can top that!
